 You need it when?!?

And now a word about deadlines:

These are the the 'facts of life' when dealing with Classic Plastick, specifically regarding the time it will take to get your ordered goods:

You need never fear that you won't get the things you've ordered. If you pay for it you will get it unless I am A) dead or B) effectively disabled by some freakish misadventure which renders me 'creatively dead' or C) I am blinded and/or my hands fall off.

However... THIS IS IMPORTANT and cannot be overstated:

Given the time-intensive methods of handcrafted manufacture and the limited manpower involved- meaning for the most part myself and one frail little old lady in the sewing department -there is no way to guarantee a delivery date or make good on your desire to have what you ordered in hand by a specific time or date.

If an unspecified time frame for delivery is unacceptable for you it may be better to wait until the thing you are interested in comes up at auction where the article is ready-made and waiting to be bought by the highest bidder.

This is why my 'Fine Print' excludes the promise of deadlines, express or implied. If you think you need it this year sometime, fine. But next week, in two weeks or even a month... PLEASE read and re-read the foregoing carefully. It means what it says: 'I cannot guarantee a delivery date.'

This homespun enterprise in no way, shape or form can be compared to 'retail'. It's 'handicrafts' and it's a hobby for me. There is, as a rule, no 'inventory' and no rack full of doll clothing and no bin full of gloves in a rainbow of colors and styles.

The fact is it's done in my spare time and you'll usually be one of a handful of guys waiting in line for me to fill their orders. That means waiting patiently while I go buy the supplies, woo the sewing lady to make the clothing, gather whatever 'found' parts may be called for, wait on other makers to make stuff they might contribute, make the stuff I make myself and, when it's finished to my satisfaction, get it headed your way.

If that sounds reasonable and like just the kind of conscientous custom maker you want making things out of thin air for your collection... we'll get along just fine!

Thanks for your attention!
